"Momentous last days"?!? If they really believed these were the last days, why are they laying out these complex financial schemes for the indefinite future? They've raked in hundreds of millions of dollars in the very recent past from selling branch property and they're already clamoring to establish how much more the sheeples can dole out for the future?

"Sisters, Jehovah needs a chunck of your Social Security check until you die... or until armageddon comes... whichever comes first. Besides, your 'worldly' children should be supporting you anyway."

Like the bible says, a greedy man is never satisfied. The GB and WT Corp have become the greediest of pigs.

exams are finished and it's just a matter of days before i walk.. i was certainly stressed about doing this.

I was certainly stressed about doing this. I'm older than my classmates and armageddon was sooooo close! But here I am, 4 years later, older and much wiser!

I wish I would have done this 20 years ago, but better late than never.

im in a bit of a bind and im not quite sure what (if anything) i can do about it.

i was recently hired as a business consultant for a rather large company.

the company that hired me mentioned that they are concerned about a certain department and the way its being run, as this department affects every other department in the company.

Sounds like a case where a good worker got promoted. Just because someone is a productive staff member doesn't mean that they're management material... regardless of religion.

MTS & Gilead: Can we talk about how much of a FAILURE these 2 schools were/are?

i know quite a few from both of these schools who basically crashed and burned once they got into their assignments.

graduates of these schools would be thrown into foreign territorities or remote areas without a good visible means of support and would get emotionally, mentally, financially burned out.

post your experiences or of those you know that went to these pitiful excuses for educational institutions..

I got to know a bunch that had attended Gilead and stayed in assignments for various amounts of time. Some didn't last long, some did. All of them had some kind of terrible/bizarre experiences that would never be published.

I didn't know as many MTS. The ones I did get to know had been sent to terrible locations with troubled congregations.

I heard enough to realize that I never, ever wanted to go to either school.

I enjoy it. Some of it is rather slow-moving, but I think it keeps the information from being over-whelming or overly-technical.

One hour of the show is time better spent than a month in a Kingdumb Hell.

perhaps if you all can give her some words of encouragement, it will convince her to join the jwn family... btw she already knows ttatt.. she's just not convinced to join the forum..

I wasn't able to convince my siblings to join the forum, so I don't know if I can convice Mrs. OT.

I'll just say that joining the forum would have helped them recover more quickly and completely from the damage that WT inflicted.

in our letter dated february 19, 2014, to all congregations in the united states branch ter- ritory, you were informed of a special weekend program to be held on saturday, november 8, 2014, and sunday, november 9, 2014. this program is in connection with the branch visit scheduled for the united states and will be broadcast to locations throughout the branch territory.

we are pleased to inform you of some of these arrangements.. since the goal is to allow as many as possible the opportunity to benefit from this branch visit program, provision will be made to allow any kingdom hall properly equipped to receive the broadcast.

Since when does there need to be a committee to tell people "keep warm and well-fed"? This is an organization that discourages the membership from becoming doctors and engineers. Their idea of "disaster relief" is to tell the victims to go out and preach more to recruit others into the JW cult.

Feeling disloyal

i've been visiting here for about a year or so, but didn't really feel compelled to participate other than reading the various posts that interested me.. there's been that uncomfortable feeling of being disloyal to god, the organization, many friends and relatives.. i've been associated since birth.

after 65 + years of service within this organization and actually enjoying that time, it troubled me to find myself wanting to express feelings that were contrary to all that time of "faithfulness".

those years were filled with progressive "privileges and responsibilities" even at a high level, and there was considerable success in our evangelizing activity.

You have a conscience. WT and the GB has no conscience. They are completely disloyal to you. The lie to you. When time proves their prophecies to be false, the come up with a fresh layer of lies. Do they feel that they have been disloyal to God and to YOU by force feeding false prophecies to millions of followers? Nope! They sincerely believe that their lies were for your good, that they've done everyone a favor by their falsehood. They have been disloyal to you.

Counting tracts as placements on reports now?!

so now we have to count all tracts / leaflets / meeting invitations etc as placements on the monthly report slip???.

is this just another method of control or accountability!

So what if they're left in a door and blow away like every other piece of litter? At least it's WT litter that deserves to be counted as praise to Jehovah's appointed GB.
